Existing Showmax customers will receive an email with instructions on how to upgrade to the new Showmax app. If your account hasn’t yet been moved to the new Showmax, you won’t be able to upgrade to the new app. However, do not worry; we’ll get to you.
When your account is migrated, you will receive an email with upgrade instructions. You’ll also know you’ve been migrated when you open your existing Showmax app, as it’ll prompt you to download the new app. Follow the link in the email, or on your screen, and download the new app on your device.
Your account details remain the same. If you don’t remember your username, you can find it in the My Account section on showmax.com. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password button and a password reset link will be sent to you.
It’s that simple. For those looking to install the new Showmax app, search for Showmax and select the new app with the X icon, not Showmax 1.0. Install the free Showmax app that appears in the search results.
If you already have Showmax downloaded on your smart TV, click on the icon and follow the link provided. Otherwise, go to your app store on your smart TV and search for Showmax. For mobile devices, go to the app store and search for Showmax.
Make sure you download the new Showmax app. Once you have the new app, set up your new profiles, and start scrolling through the catalogue to find the content you love. In addition, the new Showmax app is now available in app stores.
