Bafana Bafana, alongside head coach Hugo Broos, were warmly welcomed by a large crowd of fans at OR Tambo International Airport. The renowned artist Rasta was among those who greeted the team, presenting them with a painting dedicated to the players and their coach. The artwork depicted captain Ronwen Williams, coach Hugo Broos, Themba Zwane, Teboho Mokoena, Siyanda Xulu, and possibly Aubrey Modiba, Oshwin Appolis, and Percy Tau.
Each of them was portrayed in various Bafana jerseys, set against a backdrop of the South African flag. The return of the team to South Africa marked their first Africa Cup of Nations medal since 2000, an achievement that was celebrated by Rasta and numerous other fans who had gathered at the airport to show their support.
