Marcel Koller’s arrival at Ahly has seen Tau emerge as one of the best players in African club football. Under the Swiss tactician, the 29-year-old winger’s performances earned him the CAF Interclub Player of the Year in 2023.
However, it seems likely that Tau may not remain with his current manager for much longer. Despite reported interest from an oil-rich kingdom, Tau has instructed his representatives to postpone any discussions until the season concludes.
It is also stated that Koller aims to fulfill his contract with the record African champions and achieve more as their manager. However, handling constant media scrutiny in Egypt has proved challenging for Koller.
