Al Ahly’s 29-year-old forward, Tau, has been excluded from the team, purportedly to allow him to rest. He was an unused substitute in their recent match against Simba SC. Tau has appeared in 23 games for Al Ahly this season, scoring six goals. Koller’s team, currently ranked 11th in the league, has seven matches in hand over the leading team, Al Ittihad.
In addition to Tau, other key players such as Ali Maaloul and Mohamed El-Shenawy are also expected to be absent for Ahly.
