Victor Osimhen has been declared fit for Nigeria’s AFCON semi-final against South Africa. The striker’s fitness was a concern on Monday, after he did not fly to Bouake from Abidjan on Monday due to abdominal discomfort. Speaking to *AFP*, a spokesperson for the Nigerian national team confirmed Osimhen eventually travelled to meet up with his teammates and will be available for selection.
“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday,” the spokesperson said. “He has joined the team in Bouake and has trained with the squad today.” Osimhen has scored only a single goal at the tournament in the Ivory Coast, but is considered among the best forwards in world football.
