Beginning his journey at Lamontville Golden Arrows as a junior, Durban is where Goss honed his skill. He played under the stewardship of Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach, Manqoba Mngqithi. Despite his excitement when he earned his professional debut in 2013 at the tender age of 19, the Durban-born goalkeeper conceded four goals as Moroka Swallows thrashed Abafana Bes’thende in the Absa Premiership. However, since then, the 26-year-old has developed into one of South Africa’s best number ones.
Goss has been scouted by the Brazilians as an option between the sticks. This comes as the likes of Denis Onyango and Kennedy Mweene reach the twilights of their respective careers. In an interesting interview, Goss mentioned his favorite player, the teams he supported as a youngster, and more. He revealed that he changed his support from Chiefs to Mamelodi Sundowns. He also credited Wits for reviving his career. Goss idolized Brian Baloyi in his youth, and he shared that he was not one of the rich kids. He emphasized that he fights for what he wants.
