Orlando Pirates might not retain goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane at the end of the season. If this happens, Polokwane City is expected to be the leading candidate to sign the experienced player once his contract expires.
Mpontshane is highly regarded by his teammates, as demonstrated by his only appearance in the DStv Premiership this season. He came off the bench to replace the injured Sipho Chaine in the 7-1 victory over Golden Arrows.
