Earlier this week, Namibia secured a place in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 for the first time following a goalless draw with Mali in Group E. The Brave Warriors, led by captain Shalulile and attacker Hotto, advanced as one of the best third-placed teams alongside South Africa and group winners Mali, with four points.

Shalulile, who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns, and Hotto, from Orlando Pirates, have been key players for Namibia. While Shalulile is yet to score in the tournament, Hotto scored the winning goal in their opening group match against Tunisia.

Namibia is set to face Angola in the last 16 match, with the opportunity to make history by claiming their first-ever victory over their opponents. The two teams have met 11 times in the past, with Namibia never having won against Angola.

The match is scheduled to take place at Stade Bouake at 19:00 South African time. The stage is set for Collin Benjamin’s team to make further history in the tournament.
