According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Netherlands international Donny van de Beek will have to look for a new club for next season as the Red Devils are expected to part ways with him. The 26-year-old is currently out on loan at Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
Despite starting his first three games for the Eagles, the central midfielder has been in and out of the team since, with the Nijkerkerveen native having been benched for three of the team’s latest four league encounters. Although the German side included an €11 million (R222 million) option to buy into the deal, it is believed they will not trigger it, and that he will return to Old Trafford.
Van de Beek has failed to make his mark while on loan at the Deutsche Bank Park, a theme that is true for his spell with United too. He had played only a bit-part role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick, and Erik ten Hag.
