According to high-ranking sources at Chloorkop, goalkeeper Ronwen Williams has agreed to a new deal in principle with Mamelodi Sundowns. The Bafana Bafana skipper joined the Brazilians in July 2022 from crosstown rivals, SuperSport United, where he had spent nearly two decades dating as far back as his academy days in his teenage years.
Following the emotional farewell, Sundowns confirmed Williams had penned a five-year deal, which is understood to have been split into options.
