Shauwn Mkhize, from Royal AM, hosted a regal ball at Sun City on the latest episode of the second season of her reality TV show, “KwaMam’Mkhize”. The event, based in Johannesburg, featured an elaborate British Regency theme.
The intention was to honor MaMkhize while she is still present, and she was joined by her loved ones, including family and friends such as DJ Zinhle and Max Mngadi. The event was also attended by local celebrities and entrepreneurs.
The event’s theme was inspired by British Regency, a style popular in the 1800s following the British renaissance. This aesthetic has experienced a resurgence in popularity in recent years, partly due to the success of the Netflix show Bridgerton.
At the ball, men were seen wearing doublets and cloaks, while women were dressed in bodices, high-waisted corset dresses, and other elaborate gowns.
