Pitso Mosimane, who recently joined a club on a deal until the end of the season, has reportedly blocked one of his players in Saudi Arabia from joining Steven Gerrard’s team. The 31-year-old Cameroon international, who had seemed to be on his way to his SPL rivals, is no longer expected to leave.

It is said that Mosimane stepped in to ensure that Ekambi continues at Abha. The experienced forward has scored seven goals in 17 matches this season and will be returning to Saudi Arabia following Cameroon’s round of 16 2023 Africa Cup of Nations exit. The Indomitable Lions suffered a 2-0 defeat to Nigeria on the weekend, leading to their elimination from the competition after scraping through the group phase.
