“Yeye” recently shared a reflection on how much his children have grown. The retired soccer player posted images of his children celebrating Chiefs’ MTN8 win with him. The 2014/15 MTN8 final was a Soweto derby between Glamour Boys and Orlando Pirates, which ended with a 1-0 victory for Chiefs. The winning goal was scored by then captain Tefu Mashamaite through a header.
For “Yeye,” this period marked the early days of his fatherhood. He captioned an Instagram post with the words “They grow up too fast,” and shared a video of himself carrying his son Thato, and his daughter Keneilwe holding his hand during the MTN8 trophy celebrations. Both children are from his relationship with sports presenter Mpho Maboi.
