Kaizer Chiefs recently extended a contract to their young talent Mfundo Vilakazi. This reflects a growing trend in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), where several clubs are promoting their young players to the first team. The 18-year-old Vilakazi, who joined Chiefs’ youth development department in 2021, has made significant progress and is now contracted to stay at the club until at least June 2028. Renowned football agent Mike Makaab, representing Vilakazi, has likened the youngster to former Chiefs star Jabu Mahlangu.
