The DStv Premiership match between Cape Town City FC and Chippa United took place at DHL Stadium on October 25, 2022, in Cape Town, South Africa. Azola Matrose, a player for Cape Town City FC, is facing the possibility of being loaned out for the next season.

According to a source, the club is looking to provide him with more game time and experience, as there are many players in his position at the club and it has been challenging for him to secure a regular spot on the team. As a result, the club aims to loan him out to gain experience and return as a stronger player.

Matrose has been playing for the DDC side under Joseph Makhanya, where he has performed well, but the club wants him to have consistent game time in the DStv Premiership for the upcoming season. It is highly likely that he may be loaned to Chippa United, a team where he is valued and can play regularly.

Chippa United is enthusiastic about having him on loan, especially since it is where he initially made his name before joining Orlando Pirates, his current club. Despite joining Orlando Pirates from Chippa in 2022, Matrose was subsequently loaned back to the Eastern Cape side.

Although he has not played a senior team game so far in any competition this season, the club is looking to facilitate his growth by loaning him out to a team where he can continue to develop. Soccer Laduma reached out to Chippa United for a comment, but no response was received at the time of publication.
