Born in Bethlehem, Free State, the 23-year-old was raised by his mother as an only child, with his late grandfather playing a vital role in being a father figure during his formative years.
After doing most of his schooling in Bethlehem, he was able to complete his matric in the Harmony Sports Academy. During his time in Virginia, Free State, his football career began to blossom.
During this period, he played in the South African youth setup and by the time he was scouted by the SuperSport United academy, the club’s current CEO Stan Matthews, soon promoted him to the first team.
