The new and improved Showmax app is set to bring a better-looking, faster, and more seamless experience for subscribers, with a lower data usage option for mobile devices, making it easier for users to stay entertained. Showmax is also releasing nearly 20 brand-new Originals in February, including fan favorites like The Real Housewives of Durban and The Mommy Club, as well as new series such as Chocolate Kings and Widows Unveiled.
The platform will also feature adaptations of popular books like Red Ink and Catch Me A Killer, and new shows like Wyfie, Youngins, Koek, and Ekhaya Backpackers. For football enthusiasts, Showmax will offer Africa’s first standalone mobile Premier League plan, providing live coverage of all 380 games for just R69 a month, along with additional content to keep fans updated on the latest action and stats. Showmax is also introducing new, more affordable packages, including the Showmax Entertainment Mobile plan for R39 a month and discounted pricing for the Showmax Entertainment plan, making its content more accessible to people in 44 African countries.
Bundled packages are also available, starting at just R99 per month.
