The 25-year-old was once a player of the club’s famed La Masia academy, but left for Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb when he was 16. He is now a regular for his national team, having made the squad for his country’s last appearance at the UEFA European Championship, as well as for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The same report claims that Olmo’s acquisition is a clear goal for the LALIGA champions as they look to incorporate a midfielder who is able to arrive late into the box. It is also believed Olmo no longer sees his long-term future in Germany, opening the door for Barca, and other interested suitors, to make a move on the versatile midfielder.
