A compilation of Brockie’s best goals during his time in South African football was recently shared on Instagram. The Kiwi enjoyed arguably the best years of his career in Mzansi, having played in South Africa for six years. He also played in his home country, Australia (where he currently resides), and Canada.
Out of his 97 career goals, 54 of them came during his time in South Africa. Brockie achieved significant success in South Africa, winning two Nedbank Cup crowns with Matsatsantsa and another two league titles at Masandawana. He recently stopped to watch SuperSport United in league action and caught up with close friend and media personality, Dan Nicholl.
Reflecting on the experience, Brockie expressed his joy at being back in the stadium and watching the club that gave him so many fantastic memories as a player. Despite his beloved Spartans falling short against Chippa United in a 2-0 loss, Brockie’s visit stirred up feelings of nostalgia and appreciation for the time he spent playing in South Africa.
