The latest update on Salah’s future has reportedly been revealed. Since returning from international duty in west Africa, the prolific winger has scored only six goals for the Reds in all competitions. This past weekend, he started from the bench for their 2-2 draw with West Ham United. When preparing to come on in the second half, the attacker and Jurgen Klopp were seen engaging in a heated argument, adding further fuel to a possible exit for Salah from the club.
However, according to *The Athletic*, the Merseyside club does not expect their legendary goalscorer to go anywhere in the next window. Public Investment Fund-owned sides are also said to believe that Salah wants to stay in Liverpool for at least one more season, at which point they could lure him on a free transfer. Whether or not Salah will extend his stay on Merseyside will be up to new club sporting director Richard Hughes, who will also have to sort out the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose current deals also expire next year.
