Itumeleng Khune is currently suspended from first team action and is finding multiple outlets to keep fit. This includes practicing distribution tricks. Recently, the Amakhosi veteran was seen volleying a ball above a small set of goal posts into an empty green bin, showcasing his pinpoint passing accuracy.
Despite the suspension and having his captaincy revoked, Khune has maintained his fitness and positivity. This came after he reportedly showed up to training under the influence of alcohol, leading to the decision by the Soweto giants to “temporarily” separate him from the first team “until certain conditions have been fulfilled.” In January, Khune managed to get some game time for the Carling All Stars against Stellenbosch FC.
As he hopes to make a swift return for Amakhosi, this season could potentially be his last at the club.
