The 25-year-old midfielder emerged as the decisive player, securing a 92nd minute winner against Nordsjaelland to propel his team to the DBU Pokalen final. They are set to face Silkeborg on 9 May.
He expressed his elation, stating, “I was already tired and my energy was gone but when I stole the ball I just told myself, ‘Okay let me go and try it’ and I’m glad that I went because it paid off in the end.”
Expressing gratitude towards the fans, he added, “I’m really proud of the fans because they came out here they waited 90 minutes before the game could kick off and I’m really proud of them and I say, they deserve it they can go home now and relax and some of them they can go and have a glass of wine or beer or whatever because they deserve it after such a long night.”
Reflecting on the game, he shared, “It was around 90 something minutes and it was still 0-0 so that was still good for us so but I’m glad that we managed to score the goal and killed the game so that was important obviously to finish the game.”
Expressing his happiness about reaching the final, he said, “It’s a great feeling because we’ve lost two semifinals before, now I’m really happy that we managed to go through to the final. I can’t wait to play the final.”
