Cristiano Ronaldo, the ex-Real Madrid player, agreed to defer his wages during the COVID-19 pandemic in his final season at the club. He claimed €19.8 million (R401 million) in outstanding payments, but the Court of Arbitration has ordered Juventus to pay him €9.6 million.
Ronaldo did not lead Juventus to European glory, but he performed well during his 134 appearances for the club. He scored 101 goals across all competitions, becoming the fastest player in the club’s history to reach the century mark.
Despite his efforts, Ronaldo and his legal team were successful in their claim for unpaid wages from Juventus.
