Moroka Swallows has officially parted ways with Bongani Sam, who was on loan from Orlando Pirates. The question arises of whether Sam will return to the Buccaneers next season. It has been revealed that the 26-year-old left back may be made available for a price in July.
Sam initially joined Pirates in 2019 from Bloemfontein Celtic and was considered a promising prospect, having already represented South Africa at the junior international level. However, his debut season with the Soweto giants was hampered by injuries under coach Micho Sredojevic. Subsequently, he was loaned out to Maritzburg United after struggling to secure regular playing time.
This situation raises interest in Sam’s potential future at Orlando Pirates, as there is a possibility of him being offered for acquisition in the upcoming transfer window. Given his talent and previous international experience, it remains to be seen if Sam will have a future with the Buccaneers moving forward.
