African football’s governing body has decided to penalize the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Congolese Association Football Federation (FECOFA) with $20,000 fines each following a scuffle that occurred after their matchday two encounter. During the match, DR Congo captain Chancel Mbemba engaged in time-wasting tactics towards the end of the game, leading to an argument with the Olympique Marseille man. This disagreement escalated, involving both teams’ benches. As a result, the coach of the Moroccan team, Walid Regragui, has been suspended for four matches by CAF, two of which will be suspended, and was also given a $5,000 fine.

The penalties imposed are as follows:
1. A fine of USD 20,000 on the Royal Moroccan Football Federation
