The 2019 PSL Footballer of the Year has made a move to the DStv Premiership leaders and was officially presented by the club on Saturday morning. Lorch, who spent the last nine years of his career with the Soweto giants, bid farewell to the club on social media. He expressed gratitude for the unforgettable memories, personal growth, and the opportunity to play alongside talented football players.
In his Instagram post, Lorch extended his appreciation to Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza for providing him with the chance to play for a club with a rich history and for the support during difficult times. He also thanked Coach José Riveiro, former and current coaches, staff, management team, and teammates for the memories they built together.
Lorch specifically expressed his gratitude to the loyal and passionate Buccaneers who have been a source of inspiration throughout his time with the club, saying it has been an honor to wear the iconic Buccaneer jersey. He then looked forward to the next chapter of his career with Mamelodi Sundowns FC and pledged to support his new teammates and contribute to the club’s success.
Furthermore, he thanked the Chairman of Mamelodi Sundowns, the management team, Coach Rulani, and the technical staff for showing confidence in him joining the prestigious team.
