Seuntjie Motlhajwa’s football journey began at the Transnet School of Excellence and Barney Molekwane Academy before catching the eye of SuperSport United assistant coach Pitso Mosimane. After four years with Matsatsantsa, he moved to Jomo Cosmos in 2003, where his career hit a plateau. During this time, fellow players Cavan Sibeko, Gerald Sibeko, and Bheki Nkambule also joined the ranks. After a stint at Jomo Cosmos, Motlhajwa returned to SuperSport United.
The transition from Jomo Cosmos to the PSL was challenging for the team due to the unfamiliar environment. Adjusting to aspects like staying in hotels and pre-match camping was a significant change for them. To navigate this, teammate Japie Motale advised them to bring their own blankets, food, and clothes to camp. Upon their arrival at the team hotel, they realized that the other players were dressed in the club uniform and found amusement in their unpreparedness.
Despite the initial embarrassment, they learned not to take Japie’s advice too seriously, with the late Thomas Madigage offering guidance to disregard his suggestions.
